The American Bookbinders Museum

The American Bookbinders Museum explores and celebrates the craft, culture, and tools of bookbinding.

The limp wrapper binding is a staple binding in a bookbinder's repertoire. This style of covering has been in use since the 2nd century CE and was popular in the 16th and 17th centuries as a cheaper alternative to boarded bindings. Create your own limp wrapper binding with the American Bookbinders Museum this September! Fold, collate, trim, sew, and cover your own blank journal decorated in a fine paper of your choosing. Space in workshops is limited. Reserve your spot today!Saturday, September 13th12:00 - 3:00 pm#bookbindingn#workshopk#sfeventsv#ABM #ABM ... See MoreSee Less

By the 1800s, fairy tales had become a key part of children’s literature. ... See MoreSee Less
