With the option of visiting the museum or having our instructor visit your classroom, American Bookbinders Museum offers an array of customizable tours and activities to best meet your students needs.
Visits to the American Bookbinders Museum include a 45-minute docent-guided tour of the museum covering the history of bookbinding from hand binding through industrialization. Complete your visit with a 45-minute bookbinding workshop where students create a book of their own. The ABM can accommodate up to 30 students in a group. Options for the workshop include:
Tiny Craft book (recommended grades 1-4)
Exposed Spine Hardcover Journal (recommended grades 5-8)
Japanese Stab (recommended grades 9-12)
