The History, Significance, and Artistry of Book Embroidery

Join the American Bookbinders Museum on May 18th at 11 am PST in a discussion with book embroiderer Erin Fletcher. Fletcher will explore the history of embroidered bindings leading up to contemporary binders in the craft. Fletcher will also talk about the significance of embroidery in her craft. This will be followed by a live demonstration of her technique for embroidering leather with paper onlays.
