Monthly Bookbinding Workshop: Rebinding Paperbacks
Due to popular demand, the February Spinning Accordion workshop has been repurposed to a Rebinding Paperbacks workshop.
Paperbacks are somewhat ephemeral–they don’t withstand as the wear and tear as well as a hardcover binding. Transform that prized, worn out paperback into a more durable keepsake. Join the American Bookbinders Museum in a workshop to rebind paperbacks and transform your cherished paperback into a long-lasting hardcover binding.
This workshop is BYOP (bring your own paperback)—if you don’t have a special paperback the museum will provide one. Your paperback should have its spine still intact. The glued spine will not be changed, it will be reinforced. Join this rebinding workshop and give new life to that special book.
American Bookbinders Museum
The American Bookbinders Museum is the only museum of its kind in North America, celebrating and exploring the history, tools and stories of bookbinders and bookbinding, from its earliest forms through the changes and innovations of the industrial revolution.
