Monthly Bookbinding Workshop: Buttonhole Binding

Button, button, who’s got a buttonhole binding? Join our April workshop and create your own buttonhole-bound journal. Buttonhole bindings are a medieval binding dating back to the 16th century. Its decorative peek-a-boo opening on the spine exposes the book’s signatures, adding a fun variation to your repertoire.

Originally an adaptation to a limp wrapper binding, it can be incorporated into limp and hardcover bindings. This variation is perfect for those just beginning their bookbinding journey or anyone wanting to learn a new, uncommon binding style. All supplies will be provided.

Cost: $45 per person, includes hands-on workshop and materials
