This is a series of 4 detailed photos of a Sheridan 5E inserter testing Time Magazine stock. The photos are labeled on the back with an EX prefix which to me suggests this was an inhouse test of some new components used to open the lap on the inside of the signature. The cover is of Elizabeth Taylor and was the issue dated August 22, 1949
