A Brief Ceremony Commemorating New Art in Yerba Buena
Join us at 854 Folsom Street on World Book Day, Wednesday April 23rd, at 12:30 pm, for a brief ceremony with the artist and local dignitaries.
The Banned Book Jail, created by Robert Bernstein aka neverbeforedesign, is a poignant reminder that banned books and censorship are on the rise. Including 60 banned books ranging from literary classics like 1984, to children’s stories like Peter Rabbit, the art piece is a testament to the liberation literature provides and the resistance these texts symbolize to readers and distributors.

After the ceremony join us for refreshments and free admission. On display is a special highlights exhibit, Chapter 10, celebrating 10 ten years in Yerba Buena.
