Publisher's Binding

All edges gilt. Dark green cloth with elaborate gilt design to spine and cover. Front design shows man on ladder picking fruit from a tree while a woman stands below catching the fruit in her apron and a child kneels on the ground gathering the fallen fruit. This is within a plaque-like border with four hares at the bottom. Illustrations by George Morrow. Black stone endpapers. Cover design is in the style of the Hugh Thomson Cranford Series.
