Publisher's Binding- White Spine, Floral

Bound in a wide white cloth spine stamped in an embossed gilt floral design. With glazed pictorial paper covered boards to cover in a branch and flower design printed in gilt, blue, and green against a cream background. All edges gilt. 636pp. Binding represents a style which was extremely popular at the turn of the century noted for white spines and repeating small flower patterns in calico-like cloth or paper - obviously marketed to the feminine buyer.

No publication date. Owner's name and location erased from title page (Toledo, Ohio) still legible
