The Poetical Works of John Greenleaf Whittier / John Greenleaf Whittier
Book
336 pages. Illustrations. Tissue guarded frontis.
An extremely popular binding design of the 1880s, which was issued by multiple publishers with minimal changes. Note similarity to Tennyson, published by Nims and Knight. Note also the lack of contrast in this green cloth choice for Whittier, compared to the lighter tan cloth color issued the same year by the same publisher.
