Bound in dark brown beveled cloth with a left vertical and top panel of climbing vine with leaf and flower. Stamped in black. Medallion stamping in black to bottom right of portrait of Tennyson. Title stamped in black to rectangular gilt panel on cover, also on vertical length of spine. Beige floral endpapers. All edges gilt.
