See our collection of vintage bookbinding equipment via our self-guided audio or Signature tour.
- Self-guided audio tours are available anytime between 10am and 4pm; go at your own pace—total audio recording time is ~63 minutes. Use your smartphone, or tablet, with earbuds to listen to the tour. If you do not have a smartphone or tablet you can checkout a tablet from ABM with single-use, disposable earbuds. A paper-based self-guided tour is available in English and Mandarin.
- Admission: $15 for adults, $12 for seniors (62+) and youths (10-17). Children under 10 are free.
- Special Groups: We are happy to accommodate group tours, school tours and scout troops; click on the links to learn more about special programs.
The museum shop and special exhibit gallery are free and open to the public, Tuesday-Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
We suggest buying tickets online for a touch-free purchasing experience.
Masks are at the discretion of the visitor, if not vaccinated or boosted we advise that you wear a mask when visiting the museum. To view our Health and Safety Plan click here.

Low income individuals and families can access the museum at no cost as part of the MUSEUMS for ALL program. Bring a valid EBT card and photo id for admission for up to four. For more information visit our MUSEUMS for ALL page.
Our entrance is at 355 Clementina Street in San Francisco, and is wheelchair accessible.
