HBC Presentation: Collaborative Comic Book Project: “What Books Mean to Me”

Collaborative Comic Book Project: “what books mean to me.”  This is the second project in the series: Be a Page in a Book. Presented by Danièle Archambault, Servane Briand and Paloma Lucas.

There will be a short presentation on the 2017 Veterans Collaborative Comic Book Project (Be a Page in a Book #1), followed by a hands-on comic book workshop.  During the workshop, participants will be creating a comic page based on the theme: “what books mean to me” and experience the binding structure that will be used for this artists’ book.

Tickets are $20. Workshop attendees can also take the ABM self-guided tour at a special price.

American Bookbinders Museum

The American Bookbinders Museum is the only museum of its kind in North America, celebrating and exploring the history, tools and stories of bookbinders and bookbinding, from its earliest forms through the changes and innovations of the industrial revolution.

In addition to the craft and artistry of binding, we focus on the stories of the men, women, and children who worked in binderies.
