Front cover stamped in gilt and ivory stamped design of a tree branch and spider web signed with the initials "SH" right underneath the ivory title banner. One of a set of Reed titles issued in the same set at various times by Putnam and designed by Armstrong- but not this one! Bound in lavender cloth with elaborate gilt spine decoration and titling. Top edge gilt. Deckled page edges.
