Bound in olive green linen-weave cloth in an unsigned art nouveau Margaret Armstrong binding. Spine in elaborate bright gilt stamping, cover design is stamped in black, maroon, cream, and gilt and depicts a field of flowers (cotton plants?) reaching up to a gilt moon within a black bordered frame of flowers. Top edge gilt.

Stated first edition published October 1901. Title page date of 1902, 2nd State (title in green on title-page). Owner's name to front endpaper dated 1903.
