Spine stamped with thin black bands and vine spray, with text of author, title, and publisher in gold. Front has title in fancy gold characters, with a plain black border, black text for author's name, and black flower-draped sword and lute. Polished stone grey endpapers. Signed binding "W." on right side of sword tip
